Many (very late) Thanks from the Chestnut Ridge Typewriter Gathering

Sorry for the delay in this getting put up... I have been meaning to do it and have started three different times (which you'll see in the particularly long typecast below), finally got it finished up today... Haven't uploaded pictures I took yet either, but the above is of the Jeep on the way back to Blacksburg... a little ridiculous! I came home with four more than the five I brought, and Mark did right around the same!

It's been a while... Here's something new

Got this in yesterday... definitely needs a bath. I've been off the grid and away from the typosphere for a while now because of school... I did bring 10 machines home for the summer to take care of and got this one in to make a total of 11 at home right now... I've clearly been slacking, but hope to make up for it over the course of the summer.

For those who like gull-wing doors...

This is the typewriter on top of the box it was shipped in... the amount of packing peanuts in the box could have filled a kiddy pool!

The case it's in above as actually a West German made Olympia case that I got another machine in, but I decided that the Voss deserved the case more (having been made in West Germany, whereas the typewriter I got in the case was made in the UK)

The handwritten note I found packed in with the typewriter... Needless to say, I was very pleased with the packing job and the level of customer service...

I was scared to have a typewriter shipped since it was the first time, but have had a few others shipped since then... No particularly awful experiences to date, unlike others I know (knock on wood!)
